University Counseling Center Trainees receive supervision in psychological evaluation, diagnostic skills, psychotherapy and community out-reach activities. Prior to application to be an UCC Trainee, prospective applicants must have completed a variety of required courses at their programs, to insure their qualification. While at the UCC, Trainees are involved in a variety of methods of supervision which are employed for monitoring all clinical services. UCC is in the process of developing and implementing community-based projects. These projects will provide the opportunity for the Trainees to have specialty rotations and participate in the related research projects. Trainees are encouraged to participate in ongoing research projects at the UCC, which help to improve client services, Trainee training, counseling efficacy, and the overall functioning of the Center.
