Excel Communication Center

Our Mission

Competency in communication is critical in order to be a literate and informed citizen. One of the key goals of a university education is to prepare students to excel academically, professionally, and personally. The Communication Center provides students with the motivation, knowledge, and skills to effectively communicate in a variety of contexts. The Communication Center supports comprehensive, personalized, and group educational experiences for students across all majors and colleges to help them develop communication competence in their discipline. The Communication Center strives to help students achieve their educational, professional, and personal goals and develop an enhanced understanding of themselves as members of the community.

The Communication Center exists to promote excellent communication and academic success for all students at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. Communication Center staff members work toward these goals by offering a variety of services, including practice in one-on-one tutoring sessions and feedback on live or recorded presentations, mock interviews, visual aid preparation and feedback, and Communication Across the Curriculum outreach workshops.
