Here are some suggestions to help you wrap up your studies at UCCS. Note: if you are a graduate student, please visit the Graduate School Website.
___ Use the Commencement website to answer all of your questions regarding commencement. Graduating students will receive all information via e-mail.
___ Attend the Graduate Fair during the semester you are graduating for graduation information, products, and services.
___ If you miss the Graduate Fair, visit the UCCS Bookstore to purchase regalia and for information on ordering graduation announcements, diploma frames, and college rings.
___ If you are going to be attending Commencement, don’t forget to register your attendance through the Commencement website (opens mid October) or by responding to the registration e-mail.
___ If you have an immediate family member who also graduated from UCCS, be sure to request your complimentary legacy cord (black, gold, silver weave) to wear at the commencement ceremony from the UCCS Alumni & Friends Association. Request your cord online or contact Lisa Bartholme at 719-255-3187.
___ Join your fellow classmates and make a contribution to the Class of 2019 Gift! All dollar amounts are accepted. Our goal is 100% participation so that you can pay it forward to ensure that future Mountain Lions have the same great experience that you did at UCCS. When you donate $10 or more, you will receive a royal blue contribution cord to wear at the commencement ceremony. Questions? Contact Lisa Bartholme at 719-255-3187.

Graduate Students (Masters and PhD Candidates)
___Graduate students who are within two semesters of completing their graduate program should meet with their program director prior to applying for graduation. Visit the Graduate School’s graduation page.
ALL Students (Undergraduate and Graduate)
___Students must apply for graduation using the Graduation Application/Diploma Card in their myUCCS Portal.
___ Students should update their permanent and/or diploma address in their myUCCS Portal to ensure that their diploma is mailed to the correct location.
___ Students should ensure that there are no ‘I’ (incomplete) grades on their student record. The final grade must be submitted by the instructor no later than the last day of the term in which the student is graduating. All incomplete grades must be cleared by the deadlines for a student to remain on the graduation list.
___ Students must drop future term courses. If you have already registered for further courses in your current degree program for an upcoming term but are graduating, it is your responsibility to drop all your courses. Students who graduate and plan to enroll at UCCS for further study must reapply to the University for a graduate degree, second bachelor’s degree, or a certificate program. Please call the Office of Admissions at 719-255-3084 for additional information.
___If you would like to participate in the commencement ceremony (optional), please register at the commencement website. You can also find other information about the ceremony.

___ If you have borrowed any Federal Perkins Loans, all Perkins borrowers are required to complete Perkins exit counseling once they have graduated or ceased half-time enrollment. You will receive a letter from Campus Partners, a third-party servicer for the University, when your exit counseling becomes available to complete.
___ If you have borrowed any alternative/private loans you will need to contact the lender you borrowed from.
___ Contact the Career Center for help with your job search strategy before you graduate. And, continue to receive career help as an alumni.
