Biographical Information

Leann M. Morgan, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Counseling and Human Services at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. She earned her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision (School Counseling) from the University of Northern Colorado. Her primary counseling experience is with adolescents and their families, both in the community and school settings. She is a former School-to-Career Coordinator and High School Counselor in Colorado. She is also a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Colorado, Global Career Development Facilitator-Instructor, and Certified Career Counselor Educator (CCCE). She is a CACREP Site Team Member and Associate Editor for the Journal of Employment Counseling and School Counseling column editor for the National Career Development Association's Career Developments magazine. She is a member of NCDA's Leadership Academy, Class of 2016 and former Chair of NCDA's National Career Development Month Committee. She served on the University of Colorado Faculty Council from 2015-2018 as Chair/Co-Chair of the CU Women's Committee. Her research interests include postsecondary and workforce readiness, career/life programs for immigrant youth, career planning for college students, and career counseling with military veterans and other adults in transition. She recently completed a research sabbatical at the University of Padua, Italy, where she interviewed immigrant youth regarding their career self-efficacy and occupational opportunities and also explored the impact of "possible selves" on graduate students in vocational psychology.
