
James Saunders, Ed.D.
Biographical Information
Dr. Saunders served with the United States Air Force as a chaplain for 22 years; following his Air Force career he received his Master's Degree from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs CHS department. He has spent his second career working as a therapist in the area of substance abuse with the El Paso County Dept. of Health, and soldiers returning from the war zone at Ft. Carson Army Substance Abuse Program. In Jan 2016, he was appointed by Gov. Hickenlooper to serve on the State Board of Addiction Counselor Examiners which regulates certified and licensed addiction counselors in the state. He completed his doctorate in Counseling Psychology in 2011.
