B.S. in Chemistry: American Chemical Society Accredited

Effective Fall 2018

The ACS accredited B.S. in Chemistry is designed for students wishing to pursue careers as professional chemists or attend graduate schools in a chemical science. The B.S. degree requires a minimum of 56 credit hours in chemistry. No more than 60 credit hours in chemistry may be counted toward the credit hours required for the B.S. degree. 2 CHEM 2904 Research: Lower Division, CHEM 4904 Research: Upper Division, and CHEM 4905 Internship are open to qualified students by arrangement with a faculty member. Students electing these courses will plan a research project with the faculty member prior to registration, and must submit a written report for each semester summarizing their research project.
