Our Next Café...

Dear Café Goers,

The first Spring 2018 Café Scientifique is Tuesday, Feb. 13th, 6:30 pm, at Clyde's.

Title: 'The Energy Transitions Show'

Featuring:

CHRIS NELDER, Electricity Manager, Rocky Mountain Institute, Boulder, CO

and

DAVID MURPHY, Associate Professor, St. Lawrence University, Canton, New York

Abstract: The Energy Transition Show is a biweekly podcast covering a full range of energy transition topics globally, including policy, grid power, all fuels, transportation systems, climate science, and more. Featuring interviews with some of the smartest and most knowledgeable people in energy, longtime energy expert Chris Nelder explores the global energy markets and their ongoing transition away from fossil fuels and toward renewables. Come listen at the Café Scientifique and bring questions as the show tapes live. Joining Chris will be David Murphy, an energy expert focused on understanding mega-trends within the energy industry, involving the integration of quantitative energy analytics, often in the form of energy return on investment, with policy and other economic analysis to derive whole-system trends and attributes. Formerly an environmental policy analyst at Argonne National Laboratory, David is currently an Associate Professor at St. Lawrence University.
