About

Dr. Gregory Stock is Professor in the College of Business at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. He has 19 years of teaching and research experience in operations management, supply chain management, health care management, non-technical project management, entrepreneurship, and the management of technology and innovation.

He has developed and taught courses in undergraduate, graduate, executive, and non-degree training programs at several different universities and organizations in addition to UCCS. Greg also serves as Co-Director for the Bachelor of InnovationTM at UCCS, which is an internationally known, multidisciplinary degree with students from the Colleges of Business, Education, and Engineering and Applied Sciences.

There are some common themes that run through Greg’s teaching and training. One is the strategic importance of more effective design and management of processes in an organization. Moreover, a better understanding of process concepts will help anyone in any organization be better at their jobs, and as a result, the organization will improve as well. Another theme is the importance of innovation. Innovation has become a hot topic and is a common buzzword in almost every work environment, but innovation that provides a real impact is very difficult to achieve. There are, however, structured approaches that can enable people and their organizations to get better at innovation and to reap the benefits of innovation.

Greg holds B.S.E and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Duke University, and a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina. Prior to his academic career, he held engineering positions in several different high-technology firms.
