UCCS hosts international visitors for economic exchange
International guests visit UCCS March 5 during a trip to Colorado Springs.

Tatiana Bailey, director, UCCS Economic Forum, presented on the Colorado Springs economy for 23 international visitors in a trip to the UCCS campus March 5.

Tatiana Bailey, director, UCCS Economic Forum, presented on the Colorado Springs economy for 23 international visitors in a trip to the UCCS campus March 5. The Colorado Springs World Affairs Council coordinated the trip, called the Global Economic Exchange, with the U.S. State Department’s Committee for International Visitors.

Bailey provided an overview of the local business environment for the individuals who represented corporations, financial institutions, universities, and chambers of commerce from Bahrain, Palestine, Iraq and the European Union, among other countries. Each person was nominated by the U.S. embassies in each of the countries as part of the International Visitor Leadership Program.

The visit also included stops with the Catalyst Campus for Technology and Innovation, the Colorado Springs Chamber and Economic Development Corporation and the Colorado Springs Convention and Visitors Bureau.
