The Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative at UCCS is a resource for principle-based ethics education, serving students, educators and the business community.

The Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative Collegiate Program was launched in 2010 to advance principle-based ethics education throughout each participating school. The goal is to instill a high standard of ethics in our young people. The ethics initiative promotes principles as a constant foundation for personal and organizational ethical decision-making and leadership. The College of Business at UCCS is one of ten participating business schools and one law school at universities across Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming and is an active member of the Daniels Fund Ethics Consortium.

We seek to strengthen the teaching of principle-based ethics to foster a high standard of ethics in students, and ultimately beyond the campus and into the community. The Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative at UCCS promotes the practical application of ethics-based principles in the curriculum, provides student opportunities to practice ethical leadership and ethical decision-making, and engages the business community all while encompassing the following eight principles.

"Just one of those days when you realize that your education was totally worth it. Came across an ethically dubious situation at work today and realized that 1) I might not have completely recognized it if it had not been covered so thoroughly in my time at UCCS 2) had the tools to explain to my colleagues the issue and 3) had the tools to suggest an ethical solution to the issue. So thanks for being a leader on that and being effective in getting it covered in the MBA program." Cheers Matt (MBA Graduate)
