As a PGA Accredited University, the UCCS PGA Golf Management Program works directly with the PGA of America to provide the very best in education and training. Only 19 universities worldwide have earned this important distinction, and only eight have earned accreditation by both the PGA of America and the AACSB (see below).
As a graduate of the PGA Golf Management Program at UCCS, once you secure a job in the golf industry, you will be eligible for membership into the PGA of America as a PGA Golf Professional. Membership into this exclusive community of PGA Golf Professionals will provide you with the tools and support as well as the prestige for a successful and rewarding career in the golf industry.
The College of Business holds special accreditation earned from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. The AACSB is the most prestigious accrediting body for management education in the world and has been in existence since the early twentieth century. This accreditation is granted to only approximately 30 percent of all undergraduate business programs in the United States. It is based on such things as our academic standards, the qualifications of our faculty, the characteristics of our students, our curriculum, and our quality control processes. This accreditation assures students at UCCS that they have access to one of the best undergraduate business programs in the country.
Unlike other business students, PGA Golf Management students take specialized academic and professional courses that develop their expertise in the areas essential to securing a successful career in the golf industry.
Careers in Golf
You are focused on a career in golf, and our program will help you succeed.
The golf industry continues to generate billions in revenue in the United States and around the world. Working in the industry can be a dynamic, rewarding career. Whether it is running a championship course, marketing for a Fortune 500 company, teaching the perfect swing or operating a world-class resort, PGA Golf Professionals will be in demand in the coming decades.
The UCCS PGA Golf Management Program provides the combination of a PGA accredited golf management education with an AACSB (Association to Advance College Schools of Business) accredited business degree. These accreditations ensure your education, your professors and your fellow students are of the highest caliber. Only eight programs in the world boast both a PGA and AACSB accreditation - qualifications employers will be excited to see on your resume.

In addition, you will also position yourself for a successful career in golf with the hands-on experience you gain running tournaments, coaching young people, participating in internships and building your professional network at events.

"The PGA Golf Management Program gave me the opportunity to experience every aspect of the golf industry. There are a vast number of avenues to take, but the people you meet along the way will set you up for success. I wouldn't be where I am today without the relationships I've gained over the years."

"Looking back on the experiences I had while on internship, I know that I am a better Golf Professional now because they forced me out of my comfort zone, and they truly pushed me to pay attention to the little details within a golf operation. We are here to provide people with a truly enjoyable experience and many times that means being one step ahead of the customer, which is exactly what my internships taught me."

Without the support and knowledge from the faculty I would never have been ready to take on the role of Head Golf Professional the day after graduation. I could not be more excited to start my career in golf and without UCCS it wouldn't be possible."

"The encouraging support of the PGA Golf Management program staff at UCCS facilitated me in landing an internship that was ultimately life-changing.
