Admission Requirements

Admission Requirements

  • Priority Application: All materials received by January 20.
  • Final Admission Deadline: All materials received by April 15th.

Admission to the program is competitive based on controlled enrollment. Applicants meeting the priority enrollment deadline will be given preference for available seats in the program. Remaining applicants meeting the final admission deadline will be awarded admission based on availability of seats.

Admission to the Master of Sciences in Health Promotion program requires:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Completion of GRE with a recommended minimum score of 290 combined on math and verbal, and analytical writing recommended minimum score of 3.5. Scores must be submitted to UCCS (institution code: 4874)
  • Applicants must submit:
    • 3 letters of reference
    • Official transcripts from all institutions where undergraduate credit was earned
    • Goal statement
    • Resume or CV
    • Application fee $60.00. International application fee $100.00.

 

International Applicants

In addition to the admissions requirements above, for international applicants:

  • If English is not the primary language, must take either the TOEFL or the IELTS. TOEFL recommended score is 92. IELTS recommended score is 7.
  • May be required to participate in a Skype interview as part of the interview process to assist with English proficiency evaluation
  • May be required to pay for the verification of accreditation of their university transcripts.
