Brett serves as Assistant Director of Development at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS). In her position, Brett focuses on raising support for arts programming - including UCCS Presents, the Heller Center, and VAPA programs and scholarships.

Originally from Pagosa Springs, CO, Brett studied at UCCS, receiving her BA in English and Communication in 2009 and an MA in Communication in 2011. She fell in love with the Colorado Springs community and joined the Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region, working as Director of Community Engagement and Peak Radar. She moved to Kalamazoo, Michigan for a few years, where she gained experience in fundraising as the Development Director of the award-winning Kalamazoo Civic Theatre.

In her spare time, Brett enjoys playing with her two boxers, traveling near and far, reading, and cooking.
