Required Materials for a Complete Application

Use this application if you have graduated (or soon will graduate) from high school and have not yet graduated from college. UCCS bases a prospective student's admission primarily by cumulative weighted GPA and ACT/SAT composite score.
UCCS does not prefer one application over the other and all students will be reviewed in the order their application file is completed (submitted application and official required documents received), regardless of which application is used.
Payable by check or money order (made payable to UCCS) after you submit your application. Checks or money orders can be mailed to UCCS.
If submitting a check or money order, include your full legal name and date of birth. We recognize that some students may be faced with financial constraints in paying the application fee so please talk with your Admissions Counselor if you need assistance.
Transcripts must be official and submitted directly to UCCS from the school. Transcripts can be mailed to UCCS or high schools can upload with the SendEDU process when an admissions application is submitted.
If you have not graduated and do not plan to graduate from high school, you must request an official copy of your certificate of high school equivalency/official GED scores, plus an official transcript of any high school course work completed.
UCCS requires that you submit an official score report for either the SAT I or the ACT. Scores will be considered official if submitted electronically by the testing agency or if they are included on the official high school transcript. We receive electronic transmissions of ACT and SAT I scores from the testing agencies each week, and we will automatically update your application with any new scores received by our application deadlines.
Your highest scores are used in the admission decision. If you take the same test more than once, we combine your scores on each subsection to give you the highest overall composite score.
UCCS's ACT code is 0535 and the SAT code is 4874.
The minimum index score is 92 for UCCS. Students below a 92 index or with dips in their academics may submit a personal statement explaining their grades, any life events that might have affected their academic performance, their goals, and any information that might strengthen their application. Students may also submit two letters of recommendation; one preferably from academia. Click to determine your Index Score.

International undergraduate applicants are foreign students studying in the U.S. under a valid visa and are not residents of U.S. territories and are applying to an undergraduate program for a Bachelor's degree.
