He previously served as the Deputy Chief of Police at UCCS, working for Public Safety for eight years. He is a certified Rape Aggression Defense Instructor for the Basic, Advanced, Keychain and Men’s Self-Defense Courses. Steve has taught numerous courses for the University and local community as well as conducting numerous presentations on self-defense and sexual awareness for both women and men. Steve is a 1983 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy with a B.S. in Engineering and a 1990 graduate of the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs with an M.P.A. degree.
