Information
Dr. Bill Ayen (Col, USAF, Ret) is a Senior Instructor in the College of Business at
the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. He previously served as
the Director of the Space Education Consortium, a consortium of higher
education institutions formed to support the educational needs of the space
professionals in Air Force Space Command. He was the founder and first Director
of the Network Information and Space Security Center (NISSC), a Center for
Homeland Defense at the university.
A resident of the Colorado
Springs area since 1977, Bill has held multiple positions at USAFA, Colorado
Technical University, SSDS, Inc. and now UCCS. At UCCS he has taught computer
science and information systems courses in addition to developing outreach
programs for the College of Engineering and Applied Science and the College of
Business. Bill is a past member of the Chamber of Commerce Board of
Directors. Currently he is an active lay leader in his church and the
Vice President of the Friends of Air Force Basketball.
