Mission: The Visual Resource Center is a university-wide resource administered and housed by the Visual and Performing Arts Department. It offers aid to faculty and students in basic training and assistance related to digital imaging, slide projection, and the use of computer technology in the classroom.
The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs Visual Resource Center is dedicated to the advancement of academic research and instruction through the development and management of a unique digital image collection. The center's central role is to support the educational objectives of faculty by encouraging and facilitating the use of digital imagery within the classroom to promote learning.
In addition to aiding faculty, the VRC is an excellent resource for students. Visual and Performing Arts majors can visit the center for assistance related to digital imaging, preparing presentations, or selecting images of works of art for research purposes. Futhermore, the center acts as an easily accessible resource for grant, exhibition, and performance opportunties. Information on graduate programs in art, art history, and related studies is also available.
