Jason Gaulden, program officer, Daniels Fund, and chair of the UCCS Alumni Board, speaks at a campus reception Thursday honoring the first group to receive the Daniels Opportunity Scholarship Scholarship for Military Students.

Jordan Blake, a UCCS junior, and a sergeant in the National Guard, expresses her appreciation for the scholarship. Blake served two tours in Iraq as a heavy equipment operator and truck convey commander.
