Online Tutorials

Do you ever find yourself struggling with various applications on your computer, and wondering where to go to learn more? Worry not, we've gathered a list of online tutorials for just that purpose, because you have enough to worry about.

Camtasia:

Camtasia Studio is an efficient program that allows one to record exactly what is happening on their screen. This is a very convienent tool for doing things such as recording powerpoint presentations or creating podcasts. The manufacturer of Camtasia, Techsmith, has released several very helpful tutorials on their website. The tutorials can be found at the Techsmith website, located Here.

Apple Apps:

If you're having trouble using programs from ILife, such as IPhoto, IMovie, IDvd, IWeb, or Garage Band, Apple has a page of tutorials at their website, located here. Choose a program from the bar on the left, and find the subject you need help with.

Itunes:

Itunes is a wonderful program for organizing and viewing media, available for free download from the apple website at this page. Apple has also release tutorials on the basics of Itunes at there website, located here.

 

GarageBand:

In this tutorial we demonstrate how to create your own music by assembling sound loops and from digital instruments. You can use these tracks to add to PowerPoints and Podcasts as embedded music tracks.

Microsoft Office:

Microsoft office is full of tools made to help you accomplish just about anything you could imagine. However, if you have little experience using Office, it can be quite confusing. Luckily, Microsoft has realeased many in-depth guides for every program in the Office suite. Tutorials for Office can be found on the Microsoft website, on This page. Audacity:

Audacity is a great program to record and edit audio with. It can be used to record lectures to post on Ecompanion, and for many other tasks. If you need help learning how to use it, Audacity has released some good begginer tutorials on their website, found here. Ripping DVD's:

In this tutorial we show you how to extract the information from one DVD and Burn it to another. You must have the copyrights to the DVD you burn otherwise it is illegal.

The website called Good-Tutorials has lots of very useful user-made tutorials for programs such as Photoshop, flash, and also tutorials for html, php, and many other things. This website comes highly reccomended. We have also come up with a few tutorials ourselves located here.
