2 UCCS PROFESSORS ARE CU PRESIDENTIAL TEACHING SCHOLARS FOR 2009
UCCS is the home to two of only three CU faculty who have been chosen Presidential Teaching Scholars for 2009.
Andrea O'Reilly Herrera, a professor in the English Department and director of the Ethnic Studies program,
is an author in her own right. She and Abby Ferber of Sociology and Women's Studies, joinly founded the WEST (Women's and Ethnic Studies) department. More information on Dr. O'Reilly Herrera may be found at http://www.uccs.edu/~west/aherrera_uccs.html.
Dr.Paul Harvey (Ph.D. University of California, Berkeley, 1992) researches and writes in the field of post-Civil War American History. His particular interests include southern history, American religious history, popular culture, war and society, and the history of American music. More. . .
