If your financial aid for the current award year is based upon your income from the previous tax year, you may earn unlimited funds at an off- and/or on-campus non-work study job, and your current financial aid will not be affected. Your earnings in the current tax year will affect the financial aid you receive in the next award year.
If your earnings in the current award year will be substantially less than they were in the previous tax year, you may appeal to have your financial aid based upon your projected earnings for the current award year. If your appeal is granted, you may not earn more than your GROSS PROJECTED EARNINGS that you reported to the UCCS Financial Aid Office for the current award year. If your projected income for the current award year will be higher than you anticipated, you must see a financial aid counselor immediately.
