What: Spring 2009 All-Day SPLAT Fest (LAN Party + Console Gaming) When: Saturday, April 11th 2009, 9am - 10pm Where: University Center Rm. 116, UCCS Campus How: This will be a classic BYOC style LAN party on the UCCS campus, open to everyone who wants to chat, spectate, socialize, and game!. We're going to keep it casual this time around, and will not be planning any tournaments and prizes for this event. Instead, we'll be gaming it up all day with friends, and hopefully in time for the Left 4 Dead DLC to be released. If there's enough interest, we can do an L4D tourney for fun and bragging rights. (Oh, and we still have some shwag left over from the last event to give out as impromptu door or tourney prizes.) Don't like L4D, you say? Dont' worry! Although L4D will probably be the PC game of the day at SPLAT, we'll still have plenty of time to play lots of other stuff too. It is a LAN party after all, so anything goes. Along with the BYOC, we're also looking to team up with another video gaming club here on campus, to set up the adjacent room with Console Gaming on some big screen LCD projectors. We should have some details posted here shortly on what games or events they'll have planned for the day. We still plan to have plenty of free soda for the event, and will be providing pizza around 5-6pm for everyone who attends. $5.00 is still the low price of admission for anyone who's not a UCCS student, but if you are a UCCS student, just show us your student id card and admission is FREE! A link to register for the LAN is located at the bottom of this page. You don't need to register to attend, but it's fun to see who's attending. Just remember to show up early to secure a good seat! |
