Your
neighborhood mega-church
Gazing up at its awesome size, outsiders may wonder what happens behind the doors of New Life Church during a given service. While not everyone in Colorado Springs has visited the church, anyone who’s anyone has passed by and seen the enormous structures and still heard of Ted Haggard, not to mention the shootings.
In one way or another, everyone in Colorado Springs has probably been affected by New Life Church. Many Colorado Springs residents, especially college students, hold that Colorado Springs’ already-conservative atmosphere isn’t helped by NLC’s presence, and the city’s progression is slowed by it. Others may ask: Who needs a mega-church as a city’s expressive contribution to its culture, anyway?
