Program

In addition to our annual film conference held in Austria or the U.S. which is intended as a forum for those working in the theory, history, practice and business of the medium in Austria and the U.S., including the substantial Austrian presence in Hollywood film tradition and American involvement in Central European film history, AAFA intends to:

• Facilitate the circulation of publications, film and videos for teaching and filmmaking.

• Publish papers, monographs, and instructional materials pertaining to annual conferences.

• Promote increased funding and awareness of filmmakers in Austria.

• Increase the international awareness of Austrian cinema and the Austrian contribution to Hollywood.

• Promote New Austrian Film and filmmakers at U.S. and international film festivals.

• Promote co-production between the U.S. and Austria.

• Produce videos and films on Austrian and Austrian-American film topic.
