The CU-Center for Biotechnology & Bioinformatics is a non-profit research organization at the University of Colorado. It founded the RMMS in 1995. Among other things, it performs basic research in yeast genetics and fermentation science. Proceeds from your registration fees come back into the institute to support the event in years to come. Dr. Jim Mattoon was the director of the Center and RMMS for many years. Jim passed just before the turn of the 2011 year. We continue to honor his vision and support by continuing this longstanding tradition. The symposium always put a HUGE smile on his face! His obituary and information regarding his memorial service and contributions in his honor can be found at Dr. Mattoon's memorial page.
The RMMS Steering Committee consists of craftbrewers and industry leaders from all over Colorado who graciously volunteer their time and effort.
