I am Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics
at the University of Colorado at Colorado Spring (UCCS).
My research interests lie at the interface of two major fields: the well established mathematical field of nonlinear wave propagation and the younger field of cardiovascular mathematics. Lately, I have employed various theoretical tools, originally developed in the study of nonlinear waves, to gain insight into the complex dynamics exhibited by the cardiovascular system. I have also been using numerical simulations to validate the hypotheses and to develop new methods of analysis.
