Abstract
Nonlinear D'Alembert's Method for the Maxwell-Bloch Equations
Gregor Kovacic

By using a method of Krichever, the initial-boundary-value problem for
the Maxwell-Bloch equations is reduced to the solution of two ordinary
differential equations and a Riemann-Hilbert problem on a contour
surrounding that separates the singularities of the Lax operators. The
method relies crucially on the fact that these singularities are
separated in the complex plane of the spectral parameter.
