Dr. Yochim conducts clinical research on the neuropsychological assessment of
older adults, particularly on the validity of instruments used to diagnose
dementia and on the improvement of neuropsychological assessment techniques.
He also investigates relationships among cerebrovascular disease, depression,
anxiety, and cognitive functioning in older adults. In particular, he is
interested in relationships between late-life depression or anxiety and
executive functioning.
