Ryan SwopeI am currently a senior at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. I have been a part of the Med Society for four years now. Last year I was the vice president and this year a co-chair and my main goal is to help students get ready to apply for medical school. I am currently applying to the following medical schools: University of Colorado Health Sciences, Creighton University, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Oregon Health Sciences University, University of Kansas, University of Missouri – Columbia, University of New Mexico, University of California – Los Angeles, Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, Western State University, Oklahoma State University, and the University of Health Sciences . As co-chair I really want to be able to help students completely understand what it means to become a doctor. The way that we are doing this is by having guest lectures from the different medical fields explain what it means to be a doctor. Billy and I are working hard to give this club a strong foundation so that when we leave the club will not depart with us. This year we hope to have more guest speakers and arrange community service projects.
