Volunteer of the Month & Volunteer of the Year

April & May

The OSA thanks James O'Shea and Erin Petty for their volunteer contributions to our events throughout the months of April and May! Without their help, we would not have been so successful in our events, and James and Erin continue to embody the importance of volunteering for the OSA: Acting as a part of the organization inside and outside the office. Thank you, James and Erin. We couldn't have done it without you!

James and Erin both assisted during our ROAR Daze events in April, helping with serving food, setting up events, running different aspects of each, and helping us tear down at the end of the day. It was a long week, and they were there to see it all through. During May, Erin and James displayed devotion to the organization by showing up to May Madness and helping us set up, run the event, and tear it down. The two of them are rock stars and we can't thank them enough for all they do! Their spirits and enthusiasm helps keep coordinators "in the game." Again we thank you, James and Erin!

Year

It's been an eventful year in the Office of Student Activities, and James O'Shea has been there through it all. From the get-go, James has displayed an undying enthusiasm and ability to help us achieve our goals throughout the year. He's been a beacon of support and encouragement for all coordinators. Because of this ability to rely on James throughout ten months of event planning, he has achieved our Volunteer of the Year highest honors. James helps even when he doesn't need to; he displays leadership abilities through his apt advisements, technical skills, and willingness to take the initiative, persuading others to follow in his progress.

James has helped from Back to the Bluffs in 2008, staying up with us for ridiculously long hours, up until May Madness, our capstone event that just took place on May 8, 2009. He's helped other coordinators throughout his time volunteering for the OSA by providing input in the event planning process, and has helped our advertisements look as good as they do today. Really, without James, we'd be just a little more behind than we are now, and all things considered, that would be a long way!

To All Our Volunteers

Throughout the year, the OSA has been through a lot of events. Without the help of all our volunteers of the month and other volunteers, we wouldn't have been half as successful as we have been. We rely on you; you're one of the primary reasons we exist. You're all wonderful additions to our OSA family, and we constantly seek and covet your feedback and input into our event planning process.

We want to take a moment to sincerely thank you for all your time, hard work, and devotion to us. You're all amazing!
