MLC TUTORING INFORMATION
The Mathematics Learning Center offers drop-in tutoring and, in conjunction with the Department of Mathematics, supplemental instruction in selected courses. Our other services include Project Success, group study sessions (PASS), and problem sessions for specific courses.

Project Success
Project Success is a program that will give individualized attention to participants. Learn valuable skills that will help you achieve your academic goals. Program participants receive individual attention weekly from one of our qualified tutors.
This program will focus on your SUCCESS not only in mathematics but in your college career. Download an application or email mlc@uccs.edu for more information.
Private Tutoring
For students who prefer private tutoring, referrals to local tutors are available.
If you would like to be added to our referral list as a private tutor, please fill out the attached form and return it to the MLC in Engineering, room 136.

Jenny Dorrington
Director
Jenny studied Algebraic Topology at Northwestern University, where she earned her PhD in 1994. She enjoys working with students in the center, and teaching all areas of mathematics.

Mike Bihn
Michael has a bachelors degree in mathematics from San Jose State University. He spent many years working in industry, and is now pursuing a masters in mathematics. He thinks he may want to teach mathematics.

JC Chartier
JC is currently a senior at UCCS pursuing a BA in mathematics. He plans on becoming a High School math teacher upon graduation. He retired from the US Army in 2005 after serving for 22 years, 19 of which were with Special Operations. He enjoys all things mathematical, especially Differential Equations and Statistics.

David is a senior pursuing a BS in mechanical engineering. He loves Differential Equations and his favorite band is Smashing Pumpkins. |

Laura Ebat
Laura is a junior double majoring in math and physics. She especially loves Calculus 3.

John is a junior pursuing a BS in mechanical engineering. He enjoys Calculus 3, especially visualizing surfaces.

Jose Gonzales
Jose Gonzalez is a senior in mechanical engineering with minors in math and aerospace engineering. His favorite area of math is engineering related math. He enjoys soccers, guitar, friends, and all activities not related to school. |

Jackie Jacob
Jackie recently graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a BS in mathematics. He is currently working towards a masters degree in mechanical engineering. His favorite areas of math include all levels of calculus and Differential Equations. He participates in "a bunch of random sports," outdoor activities, and listening to all types of music. |

Carl Monroe
Carl is a mathematics, physics, and civil engineering triple major. He loves all areas of mathematics, but is particularly interested in Algebra and Calculus.

Salah Salah
Salah is an engineering physics student. He enjoys communicating with people, so he loves tutoring. His favorite area of math is calculus, and he is happy to tutor physics as well. "Please feel free to ask me any question if you see me anywhere on campus." |

Erick is a junior double majoring in mathematics and mechanical engineering. Outside of school, Erick is fanatical about bikes. |

Katie recently graduated from Adams State College with a bachelors degree in mathematics. She is currently working towards a master of science in mathematics. She loves all areas of math, especially analysis and topology. |

Joyce is a doctoral student in mathematics. She has a B.S. in Physics and an M.S. in mathematics, so she can tutor both math and physics courses. |
