Reviewing for the Math Placement Test (MPT)
The UCCS Math Dept has put together some problems in the Study Plan of www.MyMathTest.com to help you prepare for your lower division math course or to prepare for taking the Online Math Placement Test. There are worked examples, step by step tutorials and videos to help you review topics to help you prepare for your math class or Placement Test(s).
In order to access this material, you’ll need to use create an account with www.MyMathTest.com. This is the same software you’ll have to use for the Online Math Placement Test (MPT) and the fee required for the math placement test includes access to the review materials.

If you plan to enroll in...  You should be comfortable with the material in the following sections:

Math 1040 College Algebra (you may also want to look at MATH 99!) 
R3.6 through R3.9 R4.1 through R4.8 R5.1 through R5.5 R6.1 through R6.6 R7.1 through R7.6 R8.2 through R8.7 1.1 and 1.2 
Math 1050 Elementary Functions for Calculus (Precalculus) 
R10 Chapter 1 (all available sections) 2.1 through 2.4 
Math 1120 Calculus for Business & Economics

*If you don’t know which topics you need to review, you can use the review tests in the system. After following steps 13 above, click on “Take a Test”. Select the appropriate test or tests.
**After working through the appropriate test(s) for the class you’d like to review for, return to the Study Plan. The items you should study will be marked with a pencil.
