Mission:
The UCCS Math Club is dedicated to promoting all facets of pure and applied mathematics
on the UCCS campus and to increase the awareness of the opportunities that a
degree in Mathematics can create both in academic and industrial environments.
Past Activities: * High School Math Competition - Wednesday, February 21, 2007, 3:05 pm - 5:45 pm in SCI 127B. * Math Club members volunteered in the 2006 SkySox Math Youth Days. Check out the pictures HERE. * 2nd Front Range Applied Math Student Conference, March 11, 2006 on the CU Denver campus (Photos, etc) * MCM/ICM 2006 (Feb 2-6). Two UCCS teams participated, one receiving a meritorious designation. Congratulations! * Mathematical/Interdisciplinary Contest in Modeling (MCM/ICM)- organized by COMAP each year in early February - UCCS team won an honorable mention in 2005. * SIAM Student Chapter at UCCS co-organized the First Front Range Applied Mathematics Student Conference, March 5, 2005, on the CU Denver campus.
