Title: /Using Special Ideals to Illustrate a
Research Philosophy in Ring Theory/
Abstract: Among the most fundamental
objects of study in commutative ring theory are the prime ideals. In this
talk, I will describe some special classes of prime ideals and explain their
generalization and significance to noncommutative rings. This work will also
provide an excellent opportunity to showcase an important class of
polynomial rings. I will emphasize examples and themes over proofs and
technical details.
