Library Instruction Online for Information Literacy, or LiONiL, a tutorial that teaches basic information literacy skills. LiONiL lays the foundation for developing effective research skills at UCCS.
LiONiL has been integrated into English 1410, 2080, and 2090 but the concepts discussed in the tutorial will help students complete research assignments in any course and provide a framework from which to learn more about how information is organized in your chosen discipline. In this tutorial students will learn how to:
LiONiL consists of six learning modules followed by short interactive quizzes and can be completed in 60 to 90 minutes by most students. LiONiL teaches basic library research concepts and includes several hands-on activities using the Kraemer Library Catalog, an online periodical database, and other Library services.
