Welcome to the Kraemer Family Library!

The mission of the Kraemer Family Library is to serve you with respect and to anticipate, understand and respond to your information needs. The success of each student is paramount to the Library's services and collections.

UCCS' Kraemer Family Library has all the services and resources you need to meet your academic needs. We have thousands of materials to help you with your research and your studies. In fact, we have well over 1,000,000 books, newspapers, CD's, DVD's and videos, microforms, government documents, print journals, and electronic/online journals. The Library also houses the University's Archives. And, that's not all - we have a popular reading section just west of the main entrance. It is through our collections that we provide faculty and students with opportunities to develop projects and make important discoveries. Our mission is to make access to this body of knowledge as effortless and seamless as possible.

We are open 101.5 hours each week, so when you are in the Library, ask our friendly and knowledgeable staff at the service desks for help at any time. However, many of our resources are available 24/7 by visiting our web pages at From here you can access our catalog, our electronic resources and many of our other services.

The Kraemer Family Library is located on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the El Pomar Center. The Library has many features that we hope you will enjoy. There are large, bright study areas; smaller group study rooms, some with computers; window seats for quiet reading and reflection; and several large computer commons spaces. Take some time to walk around because we have a lot to see and become familiar with.

We welcome your suggestions as we work to make the library more effective in meeting your information needs. We hope you will find that the Library faculty and staff are firmly committed to assisting you as we work together to ensure a successful and rewarding academic experience.

Have a great school year!
