Off Campus Access to Library's Resources
Off-campus access to the Library's licensed databases and electronic journals is available only to currently enrolled students, faculty and staff of the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. There are two ways to access these resources from off-campus:
1. VPN (Virtual Private Network)
This method is for high-speed Internet and broadband users.
- Download and install VPN on your computer - instructions are available on the IT Help Desk's
VPN Information Page
- After installation, connect to the Library Resources (Transporter) VPN before you access the online databases/journals. A UCCS username and password is required for logging into the VPN.
- The Library Resources (Transporter) VPN is maintained by the UCCS IT Help Desk. For any questions/comments about the VPN, please contact the IT Help Desk at 719-255-3536 or the Computer Assistance Desk at 719-255-3422.
2. Dial-Up Configurations
If you don't have broadband at home, you should use this free service. This method requires a modem.
