Can't find what you are looking for in the Library? Here a few solutions:
Prospector
A Colorado state wide library catalog that includes both public and academic libraries. An excellent resource, but it will take 3-5 business days for books to arrive.
WorldCat
An international catalog that UCCS students, staff and faculty can request items not available at UCCS or in Prospector. You need an ILLiad account to request items in WorldCat. Items can take 2 weeks or more to be delivered.

Finding Articles Not Available at UCCS
ILLiad
If the Library doesn't have access to the article you want, you can still get it through interlibrary loan. With an ILLiad account, you can place your requests online and be sent an electronic copy of the article you requested. This service can take anywhere from a few days to two weeks depending on the journal.
PAIS International
PAIS (Public Affairs Information Service) International searches international public affairs journals, government documents and more. As it includes international information, use "United States" as one of your keywords.
Public Administration Abstracts
Covers areas related to public administration, including public administration research, public administration theory and more.
Sage Online Journals* Sage years vary-
A full-text, multidisciplinary database covering more than 520 journals in business, humanities, social sciences, and science, technology and medicine.
Lexis Nexis Academic
Search for news, business or legal information.
Academic Search Premier
A general database that covers a wide range of research topics. Searches general news sources like the New York Times to major, scholarly journals.

Journal Search
Search the Library's print and electronic journal collection to find a specific journal or newspaper. This is NOT an article search. For topics, but no specific journal in mind, use a database.

Based in Switzerland, this organization focuses on international relations and security issues. It search documents from major international and national insistutions.

- Portals to the World (Library of Congress)
Search by country/region to find links to the area's government resources. - Foreign Information by Country University of Colorado at Boulder
A directory of information on different countries.
Statistics and Data
- United Nations Statistical Databases
Do a keyword search or browse content. - OFFStats
Gathers statistical resources across the web and organizes by country/region. - World Bank
Provides country data and reports as well as research on regional/global economic issues. World Bank is an institution in the United Nations system. - International Monetary Fund
Contains World Economic Outlooks and country data reports. IMF is an institution in the United Nations system.

- United Nations
The United Nations contains tons of country and regional information. As the UN is organized into many smaller, specific groups (such as the United Nations Environment Programme), you may want to visit those websites separately. - Europa: Gateway of the European Union
Provides access to materials published in the European Union. Contains country information and EU policies. - Links to IGOs
A directory of intergovernmental organizations maintained by Northwestern University Library.
United States
- GPO Access
Contains links to current legislations and congressional bills/headings as well as the Catalog of U.S. Government Publications. - Committee on Foreign Affairs (U.S. House of Representatives)
Provides current information on issues and lists PDF transcripts of past hearings.
