Catalog of United States Government Publications - Provides an index to print and electronic publications created by Federal agencies. When available, links are provided to the full-text of these publications.
GPO's Federal Digital System (FDsys) The migration of information from GPO Access into FDsys will be complete in 2010.

U.S. Government Policy and Supporting Positions ("The Plum Book") - The 2008 edition of listing of government positions.
USA.gov (formerly FirstGov) - The U.S. government's official web portal.
The President. The chief executive of the United States. Presidential duties are defined in the Constitution, assigned by the legislature, and based on custom and tradition. These include leadership of the armed forces, diplomatic relations with foreign countries, administration of the executive offices, appointment of officials, and veto of legislation.
The President's Cabinet. The heads (Secretaries) of executive departments advise the President and oversee the operations of the executive departments.
Independent Regulatory Agencies - usually headed by a board or commission and are not under the President's direct control.
Government Corporations are considered part of the executive branch but operate independently.
U.S. Congress. The national legislature of the United States. Consists of two bodies - the Senate (100 members, 2 from each state) and the House of Representatives (435 members, representation based on state population).
Federal Judiciary. The national system of courts and judges that interpret laws and render judgment.
