Welcome to the LGBT Resource Center!
The LGBT Resource Center @ MOSAIC exists as part of the University of Colorado Colorado Springs' on-going commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere for everyone on campus. As part of the Multicultural Office for Student Access, Inclusiveness, and Community (MOSAIC), the LGBT Resource Center is designed to provide resources and information to LGBT students, advocate for LGBT interests throughout campus, conduct outreach and education, and to ensure LGBT voices are represented among the campus at large.
History: Though conversations had been taking place on campus for a long period of time regarding the need for an LGBT Resource Center, it was a controversial student government funding decision that solidified plans to put an LGBT Resource Center in place. The program officially began in October 2009, and functions at present as a joint partnership between UCCS and the Colorado Springs Pride Center.
