NSCAA 2010 CONVENTION
University Credit Option

As a registrant at the 2010 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) convention, you are eligible to apply for University credit through the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs for select courses. Directions for registering for either undergraduate-level or graduate-level credit from the University of Colorado for these courses are outlined below.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS for ISSUES & TRENDS IN SOCCER

1. You must attend a minimum of eight (8) convention activities. Convention activities can include clinic sessions, lectures, discussions, committee meetings and/or meal functions (the Exhibit Hall can count as one of the eight sessions). List the eight activities. IMPORTANT: If you are taking the State Diploma course for University credit, you cannot list it as part of your eight convention sessions for the Issues & Trends in Soccer course. No double dipping!

2. Write a brief description of any one of the eight sessions you attended at the convention and the professional benefits for you. The paper should be a maximum of one typed page. The paper and the list of sessions attended must be returned along with your application materials (see #4 below).

3. Download and complete the University of Colorado Faculty Course Questionnaire. Return of this form is required.

4. Mail your paper and Faculty Course Questionnaire to: Jay Engeln, 1724 Wood Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80907.

5. Complete the credit registration process with the University of Colorado (see the Credit Registration Process section below).

6. Course work must be postmarked and mailed within 21 days of the conclusion of the convention. Please allow 6-8 weeks for processing of grades through the University of Colorado.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS for STATE DIPLOMA

1.  Attend all the sessions for the State Diploma courses and complete all course requirements.

2. Download and complete the University of Colorado Faculty Course Questionnaire. Return of this form is required.

3. Mail a copy of your certificate verifying completion of the State Diploma course and Faculty Course Questionnaire to: Jay Engeln, 1724 Wood Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80907.

4. Complete the credit registration process with the University of Colorado (see the Credit Registration Process section below).

5. Copy of certificate must be postmarked and mailed within 21 days of the conclusion of the convention. Please allow 6-8 weeks for processing of grades through the University of Colorado.

CREDIT REGISTRATION PROCESS

1.  Scan the list below for the NSCAA course you took and for which you wish to receive University credit. Each course listing will indicate the deadline to register in the University of Colorado online system, the number of credit hours available, and the tuition.

Issues & Trends in Soccer 2010

2.  Make a note of the appropriate 5-digit call number above and the term designation (right-hand column), and then proceed to the LAS Extended Studies Registration page. The registration instructions will guide you through registration and payment. Note: online registration through UCCS can take up to two business days, so please do not wait until the last day to register.
