PSY 348/648 Personality Disorders in Adults and Older Adults

This correspondence/e-course is designed to provide an in-depth approach to the understanding of personality disorders in adults with special emphasis on these disorders in later life. Topics to be addressed include historical considerations of personality disorders, clinical presentations, diagnostic issues, epidemiology, patterns of comorbidity, theoretical models, assessment strategies, and intervention models. The manifestations of personality disorders in the context of later life as well as special diagnostic and assessment issues among older adults are emphasized.

This course earns one (1) semester hour of Psychology Department credit at either the undergraduate or graduate level. Cost is $200 undergraduate, $250 graduate. Enrolling now for the Summer 2008 semester. Coursework must be completed by August 15, 2008.

You may pay via credit card in your student account or by Electronic Funds Transfer; if you are not able to make your payment by either of these methods, please contact Pamela Mead Krull in the Bursar's Office at 719/262-3391 to set up a payment by another method. Do not wait to receive a bill; you may be charged late fees.

The withdrawal deadline for this course is Friday, June 27, 2008. If you are withdrawing before this date, you may withdraw in your student account and receive a full tuition refund. If you are withdrawing after this date, you must contact LAS Extended Studies at 719/262-4071 or lases@uccs.edu to complete withdrawal paperwork; you will not receive a full tuition refund if you withdraw after this date.
