BIOL 415-4 Field Botany

Topics include plant life cycles, systematics, life zones, and the use of field guides for identifying cyanobacteria, protists, bryophytes, seedless vascular plants, vascular plants, gymnosperms and angiosperms in Colorado foothills, Montane, subalpine and alpine life zones. Includes lecture and field study. Prer: BIOL 115, BIOL 116. Taught by Kathleen R. Malueg, Ph.D. of the UCCS Department of Biology.

This course begins June 14, 2008 and concludes on June 24, 2008. The meeting schedule is 8:00am-6:00pm on the following days:

Tuesday 6/24, Science Bldg. 221

Online registration opens for this course on April 1, 2008. The tuition for this course is $1000. The Call Number is 00370. To register, review the Extended Studies enrollment instructions by clicking on the "Register" tab at left.

IMPORTANT FINANCIAL AID INFORMATION
This course is not approved for Financial Aid through UCCS, and therefore these credit hours will not count toward a full-time UCCS student's load. If you are a full-time UCCS student, a reduction in your load could result in a reduced financial aid award. Please contact a financial aid counselor before enrolling if you have any questions. Tuition for Summer 2008 Extended Studies courses is due by May 23, 2008. If you are registering after this date, payment is due at time of registration. Make sure to wait for your balance to appear in your online account before you make your payment. You may pay via credit card in your student account or by Electronic Funds Transfer; if you are not able to make your payment by either of these methods, please contact Pamela Mead Krull in the Bursar's Office at 719/262-3391 to set up a payment by another method. Do not wait to receive a bill; you may be charged late fees.

The withdrawal deadline for this course is Friday, June 20, 2008. If you are withdrawing before this date, you may withdraw in your student account and receive a full tuition refund. If you are withdrawing after this date, you must contact LAS Extended Studies at 719/262-4071 or lases@uccs.edu to complete withdrawal paperwork; you will not receive a full tuition refund if you withdraw after this date.
