Located in the beautiful city of Colorado Springs, the
College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences thrives on its
positive relationship with the community. In the past
year alone, over 300 students from the College
participated in internships in Colorado Springs. In
addition, LAS works to promote an atmosphere of service
learning in which students frequently serve the
Colorado Springs community; some students have cleared
brush at the Heller Center for Arts and Humanities,
others have planted trees in the city's foothills, and
still others have worked at local senior centers or
assisted living facilities. By taking learning into the
community, the College of Letters, Arts and Sciences
hopes to build on its thriving relationship with the
