Important tips for exploring study abroad opportunities:

  • If it is important to you to continue to receive financial aid for the semesters you will be studying abroad, choosing one of the approved CU-Boulder programs will make receiving financial aid possible.
  • First, look at CU-Boulder's website, http://studyabroad.colorado.edu, (or other study abroad websites if financial aid is not a concern) to find programs of interest to you. Next, you should visit the Student Success Center and meet with your academic advisor to ensure the course credit offered will apply to the requirements of your major. Ask your advisor for a letter stating that the courses you would take will count toward your degree.
  • You can then apply for the study abroad program in which you are interested. CU-Boulder's programs have an online application.
  • If you need financial aid, you will set an appointment to talk with Kira Deem in the Financial Aid office. Bring your letter from your advisor as well as your acceptance for the CU-Boulder program.
