UAV in Flight (9mb avi) Near Space Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Team A team of University of Colorado at Colorado Springs students is engaged in researching and designing an unmanned aerial vehicle for the fifth annual student unmanned vehicle competition sponsored by the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems AUVSI. In addition, the project will be particularly focused on the application of UAV technology to near-space atmospheric flight as part of the Near Space Initiative at UCCS. AUVSI 2006 Results We have returned from the AUVSI 2006 competition with 6th place in mission performance.
