Faculty Positions

Classified Staff:  The Human Resources Office is responsible for 300 State Classified positions at UCCS. These positions are regulated by the rules and procedures set forth by the State of Colorado. Minimum qualifications are the minimum class entry requirements – knowledge, skills, abilities, education and competencies – an applicant must have to be considered for a position. There are six "classes" of positions: Enforcement and Protective Services, Health Care Services, Labor, Trades and Crafts, Administrative Support, Professional Services, and Physical Science and Engineering.

Exempt Professionals:  Positions that are not academic or research in nature and are exempted from the state personnel system because the job met provisions outlined in the Exemption Policy (Administrative Policy Statement: Exemptions from the State Personnel System). Generally these are professional level positions; however, some positions that are supported by grant funds will be listed here as well.

Employee Rights and Responsiblities Under the Family Medical Leave Act

The Campus Safety and Security & Fire Safety Report contain a summary of campus crime statistics, responsibilities to report, campus safety programs, and other safety information. Additionally, pursuant to C.R.S. 18-3-412.5 the report contains information regarding persons who are required by Colorado Law to register as sex offenders. The Fire Safety Report includes information about Housing fire notifications, fire statistics, drills and evacuation procedures, fire alarm systems and fire education and training.
