To apply for "Announced Positions", you will need to submit a State of Colorado Demographic Information Form and the attached Application for Announced Vacancy. You can find these application forms (plus an Application Update form) at the Colorado State Government Classified Jobs Website. Detailed instructions for completing and printing the forms are available at this Website OR You can download this application form from: State Application Form - WORD Read the instructions carefully. Most vacancies also require the Disqualification and Appeal Rights form.

Applications are part of the selection process and will be reviewed to determine that minimum requirements are met and may also be used as part of the assessment process. Application materials must specifically address the minimum requirements as announced (attach additional pages, if necessary to fully explain your experience and/or education, using the same format as the application). Failure to include the required information and/or documents by the application deadline may result in your application not being considered for the position. Your application will be reviewed by a qualified human resource specialist to determine whether you meet the minimum requirements. Applicants will be notified in writing of the results of the review process. If your application is not accepted, you may contact Human Resources staff, 719-262-3372, to attempt to resolve any questions you may have concerning your qualifications. You must contact this office within 5 days of receipt of notification. If you still do not agree with the decision, you may file a request for review of this matter with the State Personnel Director. Your request for Director's review must be received in the Director's office within 10 calendar days from the date you receive the notice. To request the Director's review, you must include: 1)job title, 2)agency involved, 3)name of agency representative spoken to during informal resolution attempts, 4)date(s) of the conversation, 5)specific issue being contested, and 6)reason(s) it is believed the decision of the agency was arbitrary, capricious, or contrary to rule or law.
