UCCS Visitor Wireless Networking for Windows 2000 and XP

The graphics used in this help sheet are for Windows XP. Windows 2000 should be similar.

1. Select the Wireless Networking icon from the windows system tray in the lower right of your screen.

2. Select "UCCS-Visitor". Click the Connect button.

3. If this warning appears, click the Connect Anyway button.

4. Open a web browser such as Internet Explorer. You'll be redirected to the Welcome page. Read the user agreement, enter your IT username and password, and click the "I Agree" button.

5. You'll get this window for 10 seconds and then it will return to your browser's home page.

To configure the VPN for Windows 2000, go to http://www.uccs.edu/helpdesk/vpn-2k-wire.htm.

To configure the VPN for Windows XP, go to http://www.uccs.edu/~helpdesk/vpn-xp-wire.htm.
