UCCS Web Servers

  • UCCS has mandated a Content Management System (CMS) to standardize all websites. CMS websites will reside on our Unix server and will not accept FrontPage extensions. FrontPage websites are no longer created. Anybody with an active user account with the If you wish to have a website with a different address (e.g. university department, club, etc.), please select the following link to to submit a request to the Web Services Department. 
  • The IT Department does not recommend FrontPage for the creation of your websites.  You may use FrontPage as your web editor, but you need to turn off the FrontPage extensions to prevent conflicts with Unix. Click below to get instructions on how to turn them off. Another option is using Adobe Dreamweaver to create websites. If you prefer to code the website directly, you may use a text editor such as Microsoft Notepad which comes with Windows. See the information below under Unix Server if you code your own website.
